The Last Summer Vacation

It’s been a summer of spontaneous Royals games, trips to Clinton Lake, watching all three Lord of the Rings (extended editions) on one day. A roadtrip to Cottonwood Falls, a keynote/professional development in Indiana, a trip to Cleveland for my parents anniversary and time with friends and family. It’s been a summer of stress, too. Still not fully uh, finished, with all of my classes. But it’s coming along, and this summer, one that’s largely felt like the last sort of “childhood” summer that I’ll have, has given me faith that in the end, everything will work out.

Colin Renville, one of Nat and I’s new (and already closest) friends, has helped us see about a half dozen Royals games this summer.

Connor and I have camped out at many sessions of Pokemon Go this summer. Is it weird that this game has restored much of my faith in humanity at large?

Oh yeah - graduation happened. Getting the Diploma is still TBD.

Time with Gibson is always a treasure.

Spontaneous roadtrips to Clinton Lake and walks around Lawrence’s old neighborhoods has been an amazing part of the summer.

Working under the guidance of Crystal Yakel at J.C. Harmon High School has made me feel very prepared for my next job.
