In my eleven years as a baseball fan, I have witnessed two Royals outfielders let a pop fly drop between them because they assumed the other player was going to catch the ball. I watched a manager literally send the wrong player out to bat first in the first inning. I watched a first baseman, crouching on the field, lose track of the baseball and allow a relay throw to hit him in the broadside of the back.

I watched multiple 100 loss seasons, I watched the Royals gas through 3 different managers, and I watched the Royals lose the first six games I attended, and tonight, I watched our crusty manager inexplicably pull our best starter to put in a pitcher who was coming off of a single day's rest.

But in spite of it all, the Royals made it worth it.

After 29 years, #BlueOctober is finally here. What an unbelievable victory.
