22nd Birthday and thoughts about the new year

I am so, so touched by the amount of people who have reached out to me today and throughout the weekend. Though I often heard that my next birthday after number 21 would be my 30th, I have an incredible optimism surrounding 22. There's a lot on the horizon, and I feel like this is going to be a year to remember. Beyond good grades, writing, and a Royals World Series victory, what I'm hoping for more than anything else is to travel and help figure out how we can fund the construction of a new classroom for children in Nepal this summer. We've been working to this goal for the last four years, and any help we can get now would be the better than any other birthday gift I could wish to receive.
